So, here we are to present you with 6 successful actresses who started with Lakme fashion week. :
Anushka Sharma :
Anushka once said in an interview that she wanted to make it big in the modeling world and had no aspiration for films. She was picked by fashion designer Wendell Rodricks as a model for Lakme Fashion Week in 2007. Since then, there has been no looking back for this young, bright actress. Anushka made her acting début in Yash Raj Films’ ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ opposite Shahrukh Khan in 2008.

Sonakshi Sinha :
Sonakshi has become a big name in Bollywood industry in a span of few years. Sonakshi started her career as a costume designer and has done styling for films Mera Dil Leke Dekho. She walked the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week before making her acting debut in Salman Khan-starer Dabangg which led her to win the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

Katrina Kaif :
At the age of fourteen, Kaif won a beauty contest in Hawaii and received her first modeling assignment in a jewelry campaign. She subsequently modeled professionally in London, working for freelance agencies and appearing regularly at London Fashion Week. At a fashion show, Kaif attracted the attention of London-based filmmaker Kaizad Gustad. While filming in India, Kaif received other offers and decided to stay in the country. In 2003, she received notice as a model after walking the ramp for Rohit Bal at the India Fashion Week and appeared in the first Kingfisher Calendar. Kaif soon established a successful modeling career in India after endorsing brands such as Coca-Cola, LG, Fevicol, and Samsung.

Deepika Padukone:
She’s the only actor today who is called a “hero” in the film industry. Six and a half years down the release of her debut film, Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om, Deepika Padukone is the only heroine to have an audience draw all her own, a phenomenon is last seen with Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit and to an extent Kajol. Maybe the seeds were sown after doing some ads at the age of eight, for she once told, “I just do whichever films excite me as an actor, because acting is what I planned to do since I can remember!” However, even in her modeling career, Deepika excelled, beginning with a smash-hit debut at the Lakme Fashion Week in 2005. And then from there, it’s no looking back!

Kriti Sanon :
She started her career as a model who walked in the Lakme fashion week and actor Kriti Sanon says the backstage madness and walking the runway gave her the confidence to face the camera. Kriti who has walked four seasons in her early career was a part of the jury panel in the Lakme Fashion Week 2017 model auditions.

Nargis Fakhri :
Nargis Fakhri is an American model and actress who mainly appears in Hindi films. Fakhri began her career as a model and appeared as a contestant in The CW series America’s Next Top Model. She made her acting debut in the 2011 romantic drama Rockstar, for which she received a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut nomination. She received praise for starring as a war correspondent in the political thriller Madras Cafe (2013). She later appeared in the successful comedies Main Tera Hero (2014), Spy(2015) and Housefull 3 (2016), the second of which was a Hollywood production.
